Project approach
The approach for Eger Viertel Nördlingen was to transform a historic inner city site into a vibrant new urban quarter. The concept combines heritage preservation, modern residential development and public oriented uses within a carefully planned ensemble. Existing listed buildings are restored and integrated with new architecture to create a balanced mix of living, working, childcare, gastronomy and social infrastructure.

The main challenge was the sensitive redevelopment of a former brewery site within the historic old town of Nördlingen. The project required a careful balance between monument protection, modern building standards, accessibility, energy efficiency and contemporary urban living. Additional complexity came from the integration of multiple uses, existing buildings, new construction and public spaces within a dense and historically valuable environment.

Project description
Eger Viertel Nördlingen is a comprehensive urban redevelopment project located on the former Anker Brewery site in the heart of Nördlingen. The quarter brings together restored heritage buildings, new residential structures, senior friendly apartments, offices, gastronomy, a childcare facility and social services. With its mix of historic character and modern functionality, the project creates a lively inner city neighbourhood that connects architectural identity with long term urban value.
