Project approach
The project approach focused on creating a refined residential concept for independent living in later life. Parkresidenz Stadtbergen was designed to combine comfort, accessibility and a strong sense of community within a calm and central location. The planning placed equal emphasis on private living quality, shared social spaces and practical everyday support. Barrier free access, well structured floor plans, energy efficient construction and carefully designed outdoor areas were integrated to create a residential environment that supports autonomy, wellbeing and long term quality of life.
The key challenge was to develop a senior living concept that provides support without compromising independence. The project needed to offer accessibility, safety and comfort while maintaining the atmosphere of a private and elegant home. Another important aspect was the integration of communal areas, a care support office and a park like garden into a compact residential development. The result required a careful balance between functionality, energy efficiency, architectural quality and a welcoming living environment for residents.
Project description
Parkresidenz Stadtbergen is a modern senior residential development located in a quiet yet central area of Stadtbergen. The project comprises 17 barrier free apartments, each with a private terrace or balcony, complemented by shared community spaces and a landscaped garden area. Residents benefit from an elevator, dedicated storage areas for bicycles, rollators and wheelchairs, as well as a communal lounge with seating, a kitchenette and direct access to the shared terrace. A support office within the building provides assistance for everyday needs, allowing residents to live independently while remaining connected to a supportive community.
The building was developed with a strong focus on comfort and sustainability. Features include KfW Efficiency House 55 standard, controlled ventilation with heat recovery, a groundwater heat pump, triple glazed windows, underfloor heating and modern bathroom fittings. Together, these elements create a high quality living environment that is comfortable, energy efficient and suited to the needs of later life.
